A Quiet Christmas

Christmas day was definitely different this year since Key was sick. After debating whether to go to my sisters, we headed over there, and stayed a couple of hours, then headed back home. Once we were all together, we had the kids open their gifts, look in their stockings, and finally we unveiled our gifts to them.
Key managed to muster up some energy when she saw her kitchen.
Stocking stuffer...
I thought he could use another in his repertoire:)

I love his shiny trike. I wish I could ride it:)

In the mist of opening presents and being with loved ones, it's so easy to forget why we celebrate Christmas. Whether Jesus was actually born on Dec 25th is definitely debatable and I wouldn't die on that hill, but the point of God becoming man, dwelling among us, living a perfect life, the Father (God) punishing his son for the sake of those who will trust him---amazing. The heavenly of it's doctrines is a case for the Bible being the Word of God. There's NO way anyone can come up with such an amazing, unique, and true story. There is no other like it--amazing.

Hope everyone had a great time with friends, and family. Get ready for New Year's!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning started with a great birthday breakfast from my hubby...yes, PJ cooked! I was SO proud of him. I requested wheat pancakes from Denny's (not bad, but I heard IHOP's are better). He fancied up some soy chorizo, with eggs, and hash brown. Super yummy!

The cook hard at work.
After breakfast he read to me another of his adorable haiku's. He's been writing these to me every since we started to date.
1. Happy Birthday love
We hope you enjoy today
Trust grace streams to flow

2. We're really married
I would marry you again
Without you I stink

and a beautiful poem! I love my hubby!!!

Hope everyone had a grand Christmas time!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Late in the evening we headed to our family party. We had a great time, but later that night we had a hard time.
Playing "Catch Phrase"
The losers singing in front of everyone.
My hubby setting up the text we read in Isaiah 7, and 9.
We ended a late-late night after the ER. Key wouldn't stop throwing up, so I called the nurse's advice line, and they advised to bring her in. Thankfully it was a stomach virus going around so the ER was seeing lots of kids. They gave her a shot so she would stop, and it allowed her to sleep the rest of the night. We got home at about 3am. We needed a nice treat, since we had a hard night--Sprinkles always does the trick;)

Christmas Time at the LA Zoo

Since we have year passes, we have the privilege of going whenever the kids want, which if it were up to them they'd want to go every family day of the week!

Key's "scary face," it doesn't look scary, it looks cute!

Christmas Time Is Here!

This year I was able to craft up some stockings for the whole family. We can't wait to start stuffing!

I made the frontside out of potato sack material, and the backside of various fabric for each family member. I also lined them so they wouldn't be scratchy while pulling out our various treats!

The day after Thanksgiving was filled with preparation. We couldn't wait to get the tree up, and the kids had fun decorating it. Key was actually taking them off while Rock was putting them on...eventually it worked out.

After decorating, drawing, and baking, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

SO, What's It Gonna Be?

Yesterday we found out if we're being blessed with a boy or a girl...
THE VERDICT...
He'll be fine--he's a GREAT daddy to Key, so he'll get over the fact that another little cutie girl will be fighting for his love (which he enjoys!)

The Moonwalk

While watching the Laker game on Sunday, Key was standing too close to the TV. PJ told her to please move, since we were all starring at her from the couch (PJ, Rock, and I) she began making funny faces, which made us laugh. She knew there was an audience, so she started to make other funny faces, soon after that, she twirled around a couple of times, and then she moon walked out of our sight into the kitchen. We all could not stop laughing. We all knew it was the moonwalk, because PJ has been practicing since June (he includes the spin as well), and Rock has joined in. We just didn't know Key was learning it too! It was the cutest thing ever, and we all LOVED it. She sure is adorable.

We kept asking her to do it. Occasionally she does it on cue.

Little Siomai

The arrival of baby girl Siomai will be on or near Thanksgiving. She will be the first girl for my brother RC and sister Aimee. We are excited to see another cute little girl running around. Girls really are much fun. Boys are full of wild, exciting, fun, energy, which I absolutely enjoy too, BUT another girl is needed :) The family eagerly awaits the day we'll meet pretty, little Siomai.

The mommy- to- be- Aimee

The girls Sabrina and Key hanging out and having fun. Sabrina is so sweet and cute, she looks and waits to play with Key... how cute. In a year or so, add little Siomai to the picture :)
The baby shower was lots of fun, although the baby games did get a bit competitive, BUT with many laughs ;)

Good-bye

It's that time again where daddy leaves to Seattle. Last time Rock and Key were both with me when we dropped PJ off, and boy, did they cry. This time it was only Key, since Rock is with his grandparents. Key was so sad when abba left. She kept crying his name, and cried almost our whole ride to my surprise destination for her.
After the traumatic good-bye with her abba, we headed over to her surprise--the park, I thought it'll cheer her up. She had a grand'ole time exploring. It looked like she forgot all about her abba...until we got home. She would just ask for him.
Don't worry Key, Lord willing we can go with abba to Seattle in June.
