Someone had fun...again
For family day we had a picnic and hung out at the park. It was fun being there with PJ, since I've been there 3 times last week with just the kids. Key loves the park. She watches people, dogs, and loves the wind in her face.
Rock's mac n' cheese, Key's cherrios, and my grilled chicken BLT from McD's (it was pretty good), PJ had the fried chicken BLT (of course).
She loves swinging and the wind in her face! She's ADORABLE!
First time tasting some apple...she was soooo mad when I took it away, this is why I don't give her fruit yet!
This week I really felt like I was unpacking in LA. I'm really loving the city more, and more. I'm excited to see what God does. I recently heard a sermon on church planting and he explained, if you want to be part of the community, you really have to "unpack," and make it your home. I really thought I was doing that already, since I live here, but I found out this week that I had more stuff stored away in my luggage. So, just because you live somewhere doesn't neccessarily mean your unpacked. I'm grateful I'm settling in.

Paint, Park, Phish
This week was exciting because Rock enjoyed painting. We gave this a go in DC, and I tried to encourage him by painting along side him, but all he really wanted to play with, was water the brushes were in. I was sad he really wasn't that into it, but he just wasn't interested yet. So this week I asked him if he wanted to paint and he said yes. I let him paint with my stored up paint but the smell was too strong but Auntie came to the rescue and got him some cool paint brushes (you squeeze and the paint comes out)...she said I can't use them :(
After an errand we headed over to the park for some fresh air, and the kids had their late lunch their, again. It's always fun to have a mini picnic there. The kids found some interesting things...like,
sticks long enough to be swords...
Belly buttons you can't live without...
bread too big to munch on...
an interesting man with his dogs, and 3 birds on his shoulder...
big slides...
and windows to look through to make Key smile.

On a sad note, Nacho-Libre-Ramses is slowly dying. Rock named him after his favorite movie (he could literally watch this all day long, I have to say no, all day long!). Lolo said it could have been stress from the water changing. I was suppose to blog about him when we first got him, but I always forgot. How sad, now that he is dying he makes the evening news--just like real life :(

We miss these guys
Six months in DC were such a blessing. One of the big reasons why, because of these guys and their families. Our time there was short, but full of learning for my lovely husband, and myself. Hopefully one day we can reunite and see the new additions to everyone's family! That would be soooo fun. Miss you guys and much love to y'all. May you all see Christ more glorious than before, and grow your families in love, fighting sin, and becoming more like Jesus.
Love,
The Tibayans

A night under the stars
Saturday night we decided to head over to Griffith Observatory to see the city at night. Another great reason why we love the city...the Griffith is so near!
Rock had a blast exploring the ends of the earth.

The city is a beautiful sight at night. Crossview must remember her mission.

Family day
For family day on Monday, we headed over to Travel Town at Griffith Park. It was so fun having Rock up close, and personal to vintage trains and transportation (which is great for picture taking since Rock and Key's room will have that feel!). We had a great time and hope to be back soon for a picnic (we didn't know they had picnic tables!).

They have a mini train that goes around the park...super cool!

We then headed over to Milk, for some good red velvet cupcakes. This place has been on my hit list for awhile ;) I had a good feeling about these cupcakes since they were not refrigerated (a key to knowing whether their good or not).
Another stop at the much needed car wash. PJ was rushing because of the timer, all the while, trying to dodge the long hose overhead. It was just too funny, I had to take a picture to remind us of the experience.
Spider-Man tried to fight me over the scrumptious cupcakes, but I knocked him over with one my pinkie.
Milk rates about a 8.5, they could have used a little more frosting.

Hair cut
My awesome stylist did great work on Rock. Who is my stylist (and now Rock's)? None other than Reinna! We heart Rein.

Rock a little nervous shedding the locks of love...

Feeling more comfortable cuz he knows he's looking good ;)
He's totally relieved when he sees the cool doo!
next up....
I as well was relieved that I chopped off my hair, and got the bangs I've been dreaming of. I thought I could always dream but never get, due to me being scared, but I did it!!! Thanks Rein, you're the best, better than Tantrum (my old salon) hahaha.
