Pastor PJ?

February 15, 2009, marked CrossView's historic moment...PJ was ordained! PJ doesn't prefer people calling him Pastor PJ-- just PJ.
We used Philippino Baptist Church's facility, in Baldwin Park.

Ben Bratcher lead the elder and congregation vowsThe congregation "laying hands" on us, as they prayed for PJ's ministry, faithfulness to God, our family, and church family.A strong sense of commitment hit me that evening-- PJ will give an account to God, of how he shepherded the CrossView flock one day. I thought of my role, as his wife, and how one thing I can do, is help make it easy as possible, for him to give an account to God, for the flock...what a privelege.

Valentine's Day

For Valentines Day, I prepared a "hearty" breakfast...
Key was munching on something she wasn't suppose to...good thing PJ caught her.The other man in my life. How I heart him! After breakfast we presented Abba with -- why he is special to us!Then off to LACMA

Then to the interesting La Brea Tar pits

For dinner we spent a nice evening at home, and I made yummy carne asada tacos--PJ's favorite.A special desert surprise for PJ-smores and chocolate covered strawberries!
They tasted better than they looked.
Rock, and Key had their own surprise of yummy cupcakes and cookies...but not real ones :)It was a joy preparing for this day and showing my Lovely that I love him, and since we had the kids it was nice to show them what our love looks like and share that with them. When we presented PJ with-- why we love him, I first read Ephesians 5:25-30 (Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her...), and I told him, and the kids that their abba does this well. PJ has shown me much of Christ through his leadership and how he loves our family. I praise God for him, but I need to praise God for him more often in light of the Gospel. Thank you Lord for a gift like him.

Key's Man

One day Key might have a real "man," but for now she hangs tight to her Snowman. She loves him. She holds him when she's tired, distressed, playful, and asleep. One day we pray she will find a husband that will uphold her as a leader, and be an arrow to Christ, her only real potential Savior. But for now, Snowman can be that for her, and we pray for Christ to be her ultimate.
That's not pooh on Snowman, it's Key's food she kindly applied to his bottom :)

We LOVE her SO much!

Happy Birthday Sis

Saturday was my sister Norma's birthday, and we celebrated it at Red Robin with her family and friends.
She's still cute.

The two twins.Afterwards, we had a small family meeting regarding the future of one of our family members, and I must say it was quite encouraging. Praise God for his infinite wisdom, when ours fail.
