Date Night, 11/1/08

I surprised Frances and took her to see one of our favorite musicians, Jason Mraz. The song Frances said she enjoyed the most is one of my favorite songs on the album, called, "The Dynamo of Volition (click to hear the album version)." It was fun to surprise her and I waited like two months for this! It was so hard not to tell her early, but it was worth it. Hopefully that will strengthen my resolve to hold surprises again. It rained hard on the way there and it sprinkled a bit there, but it was an answer by God to our prayers that it wouldn't rain during the concert (the L.A. Greek Theatre is outdoors).

There are some good love songs on his newest album, and one that became sentimental to us on our drive there (though we originally liked it for it's "Beatles' vibe" on the album) was "If it Kills Me (album version)." You can see the video here below and hear the song from the concert:
