Thanks to Saint Bethany and Saint Ross we were able to get to Long Beach Airport on time to fly out to DC. Flying out of Long Beach is way less stressful than flying out of DC. That being said, Frances was right to point out that it is still hectic to lead 5 kids through the security lines. I need to get my soul better prepared for that next time around.
This is our second flight as a family of 7. Our first one was back from Louisville in May following my graduation from my doctorate in biblical theology.
Masks are required on the plane. I wanted to snap one quick pic of our fam without masks to see their beautiful faces.
We stopped in Houston for Chick Fil A and our lay over to DC. Frances got a little nap in before the next leg of our journey. When we landed in DC near midnight we were hit by a wall of humidity exiting the airport. We had to uber 2 cars to get to our place at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, the Townsend palace. We got in after midnight to a nice air-conditioned home.
Quotes from the fam:
"I was getting nervous when we took off our masks because a flight attendant was coming near us." "The Chick Fil A sandwiches (from the airport) were NOT bigger in Texas and they tasted kind of funky doodle." - Key Hava
